• is part of a national Training Package that has been developed to meet the needs of a particular industry, and
• results in a qualification that is part of the Australian Qualifications Framework.

Mandatory CPD is free (REBA 100% subsidised). West Coast Property Training is offering Mandatory Compulsory Professional Development (CPD) workshops in the Perth Metro region in 2009. Register Now or for more information. Remember, we are writing the content for all providers - so it makes sense to go to the source!

Attend only ONE of our mandatory sessions in 2009, the balance of your points come from attending Elective sessions which are also available from WCPT. It is important that you enrol in the appropriate mandatory session. Sales Represntatives or Property Managers will receive no mandatory points for attending a Licensees session - though you may pay to attend it as an elective session.

While mandatory CPD sessions are paid for by REBA, you will still have to complete 7 Elective points each calendar year. Settlement Agents, the structure of your 2009 SASB Professional Development remains unchanged. WCPT will continue to deliver great sessions at locations throughout the metro area.

• 6 CPD points in total made up of the following:
• 4 Core CPD Points
• 2 Elective CPD Points
• You must complete CPD every calendar year

Diploma of Property

FastTrack to your License | | Download Brochure

The Diploma of Property is a nationally accredited course and is the educational prerequisite for obtaining an Agent's License in WA. WCPT now offers the Diploma of Property as a fee for service ‘FastTrack’ course. This means that it is now possible to complete the full Diploma in a six-month period.

Once you have the Diploma, you can apply to the Real Estate & Business Agents Supervisory Board (REBA) for a license as a Real Estate Agent. (Note: You must have a minimum of two years experience in the industry before you apply to the board). for more details.

Students attend one full day of classes every week for the six-month period. The classes will be very challenging and interactive; with many of the assessments taking place in the classroom, minimising the amount of work the student has to complete at home.

For students who have already completed some units in the Diploma at other training institutions, we will prepare a customised programme that allows for the units completed. All students will be given the opportunity to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). This process takes into account the skills and knowledge that each student may already have, through work experience or life experience.

Real Estate sales is a demanding but rewarding career. In WA you must be employed by a Licensed Agent and hold a current Real Estate Sales Representative's Registration in order to practise this challenging profession. One of the prerequisites to being granted your registration is fulfilling the educational requirements. That's where we come in - we take the pain out of the learning process.

The course is delivered over 6 half-days in the classroom. You also need to spend time in a working Real Estate office, as arranged with your sponsor, so you can complete your set tasks.

The course is offered by flexible delivery, which means you are required to complete many of the assessments in your own time. Your enrolment is valid for 6 months.

WCPT holds it's CPD sessions at many different venues. Please check your ticket details carefully. If in doubt contact us for verification of dates, times and venues. Diploma and Sales Reps courses are held in our premises in Davidson Terrace and commence at 9:00AM. Arrive early to minimise disruption to your fellow students.

Parking

There is ample parking, but alas it is no longer free. It is cheap though, and you can park all day for $3.00 in the city carpark at the rear of our building. The City of Joondalup is very strict on parking regulations, so read all signs carefully.

Food

There are many excellent food outlets in the vicinity and Lakeside Shopping mall is 5 minutes walk away.

Public Transport

The Joondalup Cat bus service passes our door and the stop is right outside. The Cat connects with the Joondalup train station and local businesses.
